3 Social Media Tips To Get The Ball Rolling

So you’ve got company Social Media pages set up and now you’re ready to start posting. Awesome! But now you find yourself in the age-old situation of “where to begin”. The trickiest place to be, but here are 3 tips you can use when to get yourself moving when it comes to content.

Keep It Super Simple

Keeping things simple

First of all, don’t overthink or overcomplicate things. If you have a basic idea of what you want to promote, just promote that. You don’t need flamboyant templates, polished animations or professional level videos to get in front of your audience and market effectively.

There are plenty of free tools out there that can help you make designs and visuals for your company for social media posts and more!

Make Sure Content Is Interesting & Relevant

Interested at books

Instead of spending hours and hours deliberating over what to promote when, and in what order, pick a handful of things that your company does or sells and use them in rotation.

You could also add in industry-relevant information and news. So long as the content you are pushing to your audience is relevant and/or interesting, you can’t really go wrong.

(Call To) Action

Take action

This is a bit of a double-edged sword. Firstly, make sure your post will compel people to take action, whether that’s to contact you or go to your web store. It’s all very good marketing to your audience, but if you don’t encourage them to do something, they’ll likely forget they’ve seen your post in the noise of Social Media.

The other side is the action you take. Your Social Media won’t blow up by itself, you have to take action and put in the work to get the results. Whether this is making a strategy, planning posts or just experimenting, you have to start somewhere.

Social Media isn’t as defined and straightforward as some other marketing platforms. 1+1 doesn’t always equal 2, but 0+0 will definitely still equal 0.
